Medical Computer Carts: What Should Your Order Include?

Medical computer carts may come with a PC and battery, or just the cart body. Photos seldom tell you what the quotation includes. Here are Bayint’s three supply options and the details worth checking for each.

Your existing equipment, how staff will use the cart and your budget all affect the choice. You can discuss the project even if you have not settled every specification.

Three ways to order the cart

What Bayint can supply
Option Included When it may fit
Cart with an all-in-one PC Cart, all-in-one computer and battery You need the computer and mobile power as part of the same order
Cart with battery Cart and battery, without a supplied computer You have a computer or plan to select one separately
Cart body Cart without a supplied computer or battery You need the mobile structure and have a different power plan

Each option can be discussed around the actual job. A printer, scanner, drawer or mounting part may change the layout, so the final quotation should name the components being supplied.

When you need the computer and battery

A cart shown with an all-in-one computer. The PC, battery, lift and accessories can be discussed for your project.

The example shown pairs the cart with a 23.8-inch Full HD all-in-one PC. It has an Intel Core i5-1235U processor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, at least 1TB of storage and Windows 11. Bayint can configure the RAM to suit your project rather than treating 16GB as the only choice.

This setup has a built-in 368Wh LiFePO4 battery; a 1000Wh capacity is also available as a project option. Battery life depends on the computer and any other devices drawing power, so capacity alone does not give a reliable runtime. The battery usually sits in the cart base, though its position can be discussed for a different build. It comes with the selected cart.

The pictured electric lift adjusts the work surface from 795 to 1145mm, with 350mm of travel. The monitor mount adds 130mm of separate vertical adjustment. These measurements describe this electric version.

The all-in-one PC unit has CE and FCC certification. Bayint can provide documents for the PC proposed in your quotation and identify the documents relevant to the chosen cart and battery.

When the cart needs its own battery

You may already have a computer selected by your IT team, or you may want to choose one separately. Bayint can supply the cart and battery together without including a PC. The battery choice then depends on the computer and any other equipment it needs to power.

Once you know the computer model, its dimensions, weight, rear mounting pattern and power input help determine the mount and power setup. A printer or scanner also changes what must fit on the cart. You can start the conversation before those details are final; they become important when the configuration is agreed. The monitor mounting guide explains the fit checks.

When the cart body is enough

If the equipment has another power source or needs no battery, the cart body may be all you need. The work surface, mount and accessories still matter. A printer can compete with a drawer for space; the printer and accessory layout guide shows how to think through their positions.

Bayint offers electric, pneumatic and foot-pedal-operated height adjustment. The working range depends on the mechanism you choose; the 795 to 1145mm range above belongs to the electric example.

Check the packing for the build you choose

For one complete cart-and-PC configuration, the computer is mounted on the cart and one set goes in one carton. In that configuration, net weight is no more than 36kg and gross weight is no more than 46kg. The specified ward-round or two-drawer nursing cart with a computer uses a 74 × 57 × 132cm outer carton.

Other lifts, a 1000Wh battery or a cart body on its own may need different packing. Bayint uses high-grade kraftliner cartons for export and can arrange wooden packing on request. The quotation can confirm the packing for your selected build.

Choose a starting point and talk it through

If you have an equipment list, send it. If you are still weighing a complete workstation against a cart body, describe the work and the equipment you already own. Bayint sales can help work out the PC, battery, lift and accessories, then prepare a quotation that states what is included.
